Seamless Service

Seamless service: it’s an advantage General Dynamics Aviation Services customers have come to appreciate — and expect. From the time we present your sales and design package to the delivery of your beautifully refurbished aircraft, we aim to provide you with a smooth and satisfying experience.

Since it was established in 2001, GDAS has developed a comprehensive and integrated process that provides you with exceptional and efficient service — on top of the outstanding results GDAS is known for. Our proven service delivery and single-point-of-contact system enables you to carry on business without worry, while we expertly refurbish your aircraft. Customer confidence, communication and trust — combined with our superior quality refurbishment — position GDAS at the top of the industry. Our long-term customer relationships are built on the quality of their GDAS experience. And with five GDAS locations across the country and our comprehensive network GDAS resources, we can select a refurbishment site and customize a team that best suits your project — and you.

Single Point of Contact

From engineers and designers to cabinetmakers, avionics technicians and materials suppliers, your GDAS team’s talents and expertise span a remarkable array of disciplines. A major refurbishment can involve hundreds of GDAS employees and suppliers; and even small projects draw on the efforts of dozens. As a GDAS customer, you are assigned a single point of contact — the Interior Service Team Manager, or STM. Your STM serves as the liaison between you and the entire team. An experienced member of the GDAS team, he or she ensures that you are involved in important choices and kept abreast of production and scheduling. They are trained to understand your needs and exceed your expectations. Communicating with you directly on a weekly basis, they respond to your questions and concerns and share the team’s progress. With a hands-on role in your aircraft’s refurbishment, your STM is able to speak knowledgeably about any and all aspects of the project. It’s one of the ways GDAS ensures that the refurbishment you agreed upon is the refurbishment you get.

Proposals & Milestones

GDAS respects your need to stay on top of operations with a minimal time commitment on your end. We design our customer interface with that in mind. Our intensive intake process enables us to create a proposal and quote with accuracy, to decide on key design elements early on, and to set realistic timelines. And our weekly report to you keeps you up to date on your project’s progress. With GDAS, you know what’s going on.

Comprehensive Proposals

Our efficiency starts with our proposal process. We initiate a thorough evaluation of your project — often traveling to your location — with the goal of accurately identifying the work scope on the first visit. Back at GDAS, our cross-functional team thoroughly reviews the proposal with all essential departments, including design, operations, certification and engineering. Using a comprehensive system of checklists, photographs, and face-to-face meetings, the team analyzes and double-checks the proposal. As a result, you can be confident that your GDAS proposal reflects the true scope of your job.

Accurate Quotes

Our quotes are accurate because our proposals are comprehensive. By thoroughly working through your proposed refurbishment, we capture all the essential costs and avoid costly mistakes and surprises. Advanced planning gives us options in suppliers and existing engineering, saving you both time and money. As always, we stand by our quotes.

Visual Frames of Reference

In addition to guaranteed pricing, your proposal features comprehensive design documentation that covers the qualitative aspects of your aircraft refurbishment. To gain an overall sense of the outcome, you’ll review floor plans, elevations and other renditions of the proposed refurbishment, executed in detail and to scale. In reviewing and finalizing details, you’ll refer to professional color boards, seat and sofa renderings, material callouts, exterior paint renderings, carpet layouts, and veneer samplings. The design documentation supports the proposal and reflects the combined visions of you and your designer. Of course, your contact and designer will assist you by interpreting the best use for the materials you choose and answering all your questions. GDAS encourages your involvement in the design process. The level of involvement is up to you.

Milestones with Meaning

GDAS timelines are realistic. Once you’ve accepted our proposal, you will finalize key design choices, which enables us to accurately schedule your job. With the aid of renderings, samples and color boards, you and your designer will finalize all finish and styling selections. Lead times and schedules are promised based on your choices, and your signature ensures that you know how your refurbished aircraft will look and function and that the right materials and finishes are ordered. The communication doesn’t stop there. Both verbally and in writing, your contact will review progress with you on a weekly basis, providing images so you can see the work for yourself.
