Avionics Home

Creating the avionics environment you desire while ensuring your safety.

That’s General Dynamics Aviation Services.

Worldwide high-speed connectivity, cockpit display systems retrofit and upgrades, navigation and flight management system retrofit and upgrades: the world of aircraft avionics is constantly evolving. The choices in products and enhancements are vast; but your choice in an avionics team is simple. It’s General Dynamics Aviation Services (GDAS). We’ve invested in the best people to build our GDAS avionics team, employing more than 75 technicians and electrical engineers. You get hundreds of years of collective avionics experience applied to your aircraft.

And our training is superb. We have been honored multiple times with the Aircraft Electronics Association (AEA) Avionics Training Excellence Award.

With five convenient service site locations, GDAS offers complete avionics installation and service capabilities for Challenger, Falcon, Gulfstream, Hawker, and other business aircraft. Our hands-on experience with your type of aircraft goes a long way toward meeting your high expectations. Add our industry-leading reputation and exceptional standards, and the choice for avionics is clear. It’s GDAS.

Custom Avionics Installations

GDAS sells and installs the latest avionics on the market today. As dealers for all major avionics manufacturers, GDAS representatives are educated in current technologies as well as future regulations. We recommend products today with an eye on your avionics strategies for tomorrow. We can help you create the ultimate in-flight business environment, adding valuable functionality to your aircraft and sharpening your professional edge. Our cockpit enhancements and upgrades increase your safety and keep you in FAA compliance; and our cabin and entertainment capabilities can elevate your aircraft to untold heights of comfort and convenience.

Looking ahead, GDAS can upgrade your aircraft and reduce pilot workload by retrofitting your avionics systems to meet new Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) NextGen requirements.

More Service, Less Down Time

GDAS schedules your avionics projects to coincide with GDAS aircraft services — including scheduled maintenance, refurbishment services and even minor repairs. And as a Designated Alteration Station (DAS) with on-site FAA approval authority, GDAS can provide fast-track certification of new avionics installations, including new Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs).

Avionics AOG Service

When avionics problems arise, GDAS should be your first call. Our AOG avionics repair team has access to all the resources you need to get you flying as soon as possible. We make your problem our priority — bringing you a solution fast!

Repair, Maintenance and Warranty

All five GDAS sites are FAA-approved repair stations and authorized dealers for major avionics manufacturers. Your bi-annual Reduced Vertical Separation Minimums (RVSM) re-certifications, including skin mapping, and FAR 91.411 and 91.413 certifications can be accomplished here.

GDAS also offers warranty on major Honeywell and Rockwell Collins avionics to assist you in identifying your yearly costs with no surprises. We know you want to factor in all your operation costs up front — including avionics.

You can feel good knowing the GDAS team is behind your avionics.
