GENERAL DYNAMICS AVIATION SERVICES-WESTFIELD CONTINUES
AS HAWKER BEECHCRAFT AUTHORIZED SERVICE CENTER
Facility Equipped to Maintain and Repair Hawker 125 Series and
Hawker 4000
SAVANNAH, Ga., July 27, 2009 – The General Dynamics Aviation Services facility at Barnes Municipal Airport in Westfield, Mass., recently had its Hawker Beechcraft Authorized Service Center designation renewed.
General Dynamics Aviation Services-Westfield first became a Hawker Beechcraft Authorized Service Center in 2005. The current designation expires in 2012.
The authorization enables the Westfield facility to perform warranty-related work, maintenance and alterations on all Hawker Beechcraft Hawker 125 series and Hawker 4000 model aircraft. It is the only such facility in the northeast United States.
“We are delighted to continue our relationship with Hawker-Beechcraft,” said Mark Burns, president, General Dynamics Aviation Services. “This authorization strengthens General Dynamics Aviation Services-Westfield’s position as a premier provider of business-jet maintenance services in the Northeast.”
General Dynamics Aviation Services-Westfield offers Hawker operators a combined 32 mechanical, avionics and structural technicians with an average of 17 years of aviation experience. Along with complete maintenance, the facility is capable of repair and overhaul, avionics work, interiors refurbishment, nondestructive testing (NDT) and 24-hour Aircraft on Ground (AOG) services. Two Hawker Beechcraft Field Service Representatives are on site to support operators’ needs.
General Dynamics Aviation Services-Westfield is also authorized by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to service other business-jet aircraft: Gulfstream large-cabin planes — the GII through the G550 — and mid-cabin models — the G100, G150 and G200 — the Dassault Falcon 10, 50/50EX, 900/900 EX and 2000/2000EX; and Bombardier Challenger 600, 601 and 604.
