SAVANNAH, Ga., Nov. 16, 2004 - General Dynamics Aviation Services' West Palm Beach service center, which recently received certification by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and Joint Aviation Authority (JAA), is approved to perform maintenance on business-jet aircraft registered in any of the 25 European Union countries.
"This joint EASA and JAA certification brings a new level of convenience to European business-jet owners who regularly conduct business in the southeastern United States," said Larry Flynn, president, General Dynamics Aviation Services. General Dynamics Aviation Services is located at the West Palm Beach International Airport on the east coast of Florida. It is open for business 365 days a year, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In hangar space totaling 46, 200 square feet, technicians perform service on Challenger, Falcon, Hawker, Gulfstream and other business-jet aircraft.
The West Palm Beach General Dynamics Aviation Services facility has earned the Federal Aviation Administration Aviation Maintenance Training Diamond Award of Excellence, the highest level of achievement, every year since it was established in 2001. Also since then, the number of employees has doubled from 50 to 100 people.
