GENERAL DYNAMICS AVIATION SERVICES’ MINNEAPOLIS FACILITY APPROVED TO WORK
ON CITATION X, ROLLS-ROYCE AE3007 ENGINE

 

SAVANNAH, Ga., Sept. 4, 2003 – General Dynamics Aviation Services’ Minneapolis maintenance center recently received Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approval to perform service and maintenance on Cessna Citation X business jet aircraft. The Minneapolis facility also received FAA approval to service the Rolls-Royce AE3007 engine that powers the Citation X and Embraer’s Legacy business jets.

“By adding these capabilities, we’re providing more choice, especially when it comes to avionics repairs, upgrades and installations, to Citation X and Legacy business jet owners operating in the Midwestern United States,” said Larry Flynn, president, General Dynamics Aviation Services.

Located at the Minneapolis/St. Paul international airport, the General Dynamics Aviation Services facility can accommodate up to 10 aircraft in its 31,000 square feet of clear span hangar space. An additional 26,000 square feet are dedicated to support shops, which include Avionics Bench, Avionics Install, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), Composite Repair and Machine Shop.

Service and parts assistance are available 24-hours a day, 7-days a week and 52- weeks a year for operators of Beechjet, Challenger, Citation, Falcon, Hawker, Learjet, Westwind and the entire Gulfstream business jet line. The General Dynamics Aviation Services Minneapolis center employs 25 maintenance technicians, nine avionics technicians, six quality control inspectors and five product support specialists.
