General Dynamics Aviation Services
Appoints Darrell Frey As West Palm Beach General Manager

Savannah, Ga., July 23, 2001 - Darrell Frey has been appointed General Manager of General Dynamics Aviation Services' service center in West Palm Beach, Fla. In his new role, Frey will be responsible for all aircraft services performed on business jets such as Challenger, Falcon, Gulfstream and Hawker aircraft.

"Darrell's extensive experience overseeing the maintenance of business jets in both the military and private sector makes him very qualified to run this aircraft service center," said Larry Flynn, president of General Dynamics Aviation Services.

Most recently, Frey worked for Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation in Savannah as a manager of its service center operations. He joined Gulfstream in 1987 as a maintenance technician, working on Gulfstream aircraft. He was promoted to crew chief in 1994.

Frey served in the U.S. Navy, working on TC-4C aircraft for three years. He holds a Federal Aviation Administration Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic certification and is a member of the Professional Aviation Maintenance Association. He also serves on the board of directors of the Gulfstream-Savannah chapter of the National Management Association.

General Dynamics Aviation Services (GDAS) was formed earlier this year to meet the maintenance needs of Challengers, Falcons, Gulfstreams, Hawkers and other business jet aircraft. GDAS extends the organizational strength and experience of the Company's Gulfstream Aircraft Services organization to a broader range of business aircraft owners through regional maintenance centers in Minneapolis, MN; Westfield, MA; West Palm Beach, FL; Dallas, TX and Las Vegas, NV.

General Dynamics, headquartered in Falls Church, Virginia, employs approximately 47,000 people and anticipates 2001 sales of approximately $11.5 billion. The company has leading market positions in business aviation, information systems, shipbuilding and marine systems, and land and amphibious combat systems.
