General Dynamics Aviation Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics, was formed in February 2001 to meet the maintenance needs of Challengers, Falcons, Gulfstreams, Hawkers and other business-jet aircraft. The business-jet service company serves a broad range of business aircraft owners through regional maintenance centers in Appleton, Wis.; Westfield, Mass.; West Palm Beach, Fla.; Dallas; and Las Vegas.

GDAS Work Standards


  • Quotations will be competitive and provided in a timely manner.
  • A single point of contact will be assigned prior to aircraft arrival.
  • Labor and material will be ordered in advance and available immediately for scheduled tasks.
  • The customer will be contacted 30 days prior to arrival to review the scope of work.
  • General Dynamics Aviation Services will provide highly trained, professional technicians with precise knowledge of aircraft service needs and the proper equipment for every task.
  • The customer will be informed of invoice status, and a review of the preliminary invoice will occur prior to departure. Quality control will return a safe aircraft to the customer, and all paperwork will be completed.
  • Service engineering will provide drawings, analysis, documentation and appropriate regulatory approvals consistent with planned quotations and schedules.
  • Aircraft will be delivered on time and squawk-free.
  • General Dynamics Aviation Services will follow up with the customer within four business days after departure.
  • The invoice will be completed and mailed within 10 business days after departure.
